MERIDIAN, Idaho (CBS2) — WestVet is opening a new urgent care for pets in Meridian on March 28, 2022.
The new urgent care is open 365 days a year from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. WestVet hopes the new facility will help combat recent increases in waiting times for animal care.
“We are committed to supporting pets and their loving families in the Treasure Valley and surrounding area and want to help them access quality care at the times they need it most,” said Dr. Jeff Brourman, founding partner and chief growth officer. “There is an unmet need for urgent care during daytime and early evening hours. By adding urgent care services during peak times, we are hoping to better meet the needs of more pet owners.”
Urgent care facilities for pets evaluate and treat non-critical needs such as abscesses, allergies, minor wounds, ear infections and parasites.
